• On the day of Nag Panchami, take a bath in the morning and draw a picture of a snake or place an idol on the main door, place of worship or wall of the house.

• Chant the mantra “Om Namah Nagay”.
• Then all the members of the house should listen to the story of Nag Panchami and keep a fast.
• On this day, digging the land, cutting trees and plants and harming snakes is prohibited.
